Agreement will connect the CRM and collaboration platforms of the companies. The new integrations are expected to hit the market in the second half of 2018.

Salesforce and Dropbox announced this week a partnership to connect the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platform from the first with the second collaboration platform, enabling companies of all sizes and types to collaborate and connect with their customers. customers in sales, services, marketing and more areas.

“Customer success is at the heart of everything we do at Salesforce and inspires our partnerships,” said Salesforce Global Business Development & Strategy VP Ryan Aytay. “When you bring together the world’s leading CRM and collaboration platforms, the possibilities to create more value for our customers are endless.”

Initially, the companies will deliver two new integrations to boost brand engagement and “give a gas” in team productivity. These integrations will be made between Sales Cloud’s Cloud and Marketing Cloud and Dropbox as well as Salesforce’s Quip and Dropbox.

With the new solution, users will be able to create Dropbox custom folders within Salesforce’s Commerce Cloud and Marketing Cloud. Folders can be accessed by internal teams and external partners. With two-way workflows, content is always relevant and up-to-date, regardless of whether the user is working in Dropbox or Salesforce.

For example, a retailer network using the Salesforce Commerce Cloud may create a folder in the Dropbox to access product images or creative briefs from an outside agency. The retailer is notified if the agency makes changes or additions and can then update the “showcase” of your online store to deliver a better shopping experience.

Users will also be able to access Dropbox content, such as photos, videos and slides, directly from the Salesforce Quip collaborative platform. Dropbox will also add support for Quip documents, allowing partner users to work on Dropbox’s Quip documents, thereby expanding Dropbox’s efforts to create a unique home for the job.

“This deeper partnership with Salesforce is a great opportunity to create new value for our mutual customers,” said Quentin Clark, VP of Engineering, Product and Design at Dropbox . “We look forward to delivering these new integrations so our customers can make the most of their tools.”

In addition to these integrations, Salesforce will use Dropbox Enterprise and Dropbox will significantly extend the use of Salesforce products in your business, including Salesforce Cloud Service, Cloud Marketing and PRM.

“Salesforce has completely changed the way companies connect with their customers through the use of cloud, social, mobile IOT and AI technologies,” said Dropbox CEO Dennis Woodside. “Together, we have the opportunity to fundamentally change the way people work.”

The new integrations are expected to hit the market in the second half of 2018, and prices will be revealed at launch to the general public.
